Port Agency – Performing Agency
At the heart of our more than 28 years of shipping experience is performing port agency, where we represent our principals’ interests. Every port call requires a nominated agent responsible for the operational and financial coordination between the vessel itself, the owner/operator of the vessel and the port. Principals and nominators of any kind, incl. ship owners, charterers, operators pools, brokers, traders, shippers and receivers – in any sector, i.e. dry bulk, tankers, container ships and RO/RO ships rely on M.A.Z SHIPPING to safeguard their interests during the port call.
Our QA procedures are to ensure highest industry standards, which we document together with our customers in Service Level Agreements and ensure adherence by measuring the deliverables through KPIs. An additional and distinguished benefit of our structure is our ability to deliver uniformity in areas such as reporting, messaging, documentation, and disbursements. To manage all of our port calls, MAZ is the only global agent with an operating platform. The integration into our financial system ensures a very fast D/A turnaround time and a high data quality.
In addition, our excellent relationships with local PORT authorities in the countries , we operate in the benefit to our customers, as our high ethical standards, reliability and quality of our services is recognized by all parties, which facilitates local operation & documentation processing and eliminates risk of vessel delays, crew members being held up etc.

Charterers Nominated Agency (CNA)
MAZ offers a full agency services, covering all cargo requirements and documentation, inward and outward clearance, ordering of pilot, tugs, stevedores and other services for and on behalf of the Charterer, with the disbursement account being sent to the appointing party.
Owners Nominated Agency (ONA)
Similar in nature to the Charterers Nominated Agency (CNA) service but provided for and on behalf of the ship owner. ONA includes full agency services like CNA.
Owners Protecting Agency (OPA)
A full supervisory service to protect the Ship owner’s interests in monitoring and reviewing the Charterers’ agency function and overseeing all the port activities.
Owners Husbandry Agency (OHA)
A comprehensive Owners’ Husbandry Agency service to ensure dry docking, repairs, spares and stores, crew matters, cash to Master and other Owners’ husbandry requirements are met.
